INHECO GmbH: 10-Years- Anniversary
In 2010, INHECO celebrates its 10th anniversary in its new premises in Martinsried, Germany.
A decade ago, INHECO was co-founded by Managing Director Guenter Tenzler and the EGORA-Group, with the purpose of creating first class product lines of thermal management units. Starting with product development for the European Lab Automation market, INHECO rapidly expanded its product portfolio which led to the North America market entry in 2002. Specialized air conditioners for the Gas&Oil Industry followed in 2003. Two years later, the first OEM PCR products were launched, which provided a major boost to the sustained growth of INHECO, illustrated by taking places in the prestigious Deloitte Technology Fast 50 competition in the years 2005, 2006 and 2008.
An important milestone was the ISO 9001:2000 certification in 2006. The first IVD project was successfully completed in 2009. INHECO is showing sustained growth to this date, driven by a steady flow of new and innovative products. INHECO has recently moved into purpose-designed new premises, housing all business areas including R&D and production facilities.
Today, INHECO is a leading worldwide supplier of precision liquid handling equipment, laboratory automation and medical lab applications, both as standard products and as customer specific OEM solutions. INHECO is located in the German “Biotech Valley” of Martinsried/Munich.
Our products serve customers in academic and private research laboratories, pharmaceutical and clinical diagnostic companies and governmental institutions.
18. Mar. 2010 Heating Device
The new super compact HeatPAC was launched in April 2010, extending INHECO’s current range of thermal products for labautomation platforms. Heating up to a high 135° C, the device has the footprint of a SBS Microplate, combined with a very low height of only 40 mm (deck to contact surface).
This makes it ideal for workstations with limited space between the pipetting head and the heating block, eliminating the need for cut-outs or enabling the use of deepwell disposables. Temperature control is achieved either through the INHECO Single TEC Control (STC), or through the INHECO Multi TEC Control (MTC) for up to six heating devices – or any other INHECO product.
INHECO offers adapter plates to optimize the heat transfer and temperature uniformity for a range of commonly used microplates, deepwell plates, tubes and reservoirs. These adapters will fit onto the new heating unit just as well as on the INHECO CPAC heating/cooling product range, including customized adapters, offering an economical solution through standardization.

29. Jul. 2009 Incubator DWP
INHECO launched the Incubator DWP to supplement our range of established incubators. All our incubating single positions can be stacked to form a tower ofup o 6 units. Our incubators are equipped with USB interface, plate loading sensors and a range of features for safe, flexible, precise and automated processing of samples.
28. Jul. 2009 Verification Tool
The IMP - our INHECO Measurement Plate – will be released shortly. The IMP is a new verification tool which aligns the temperature and shaking conformance of our heating, cooling, incubating, and shaking units. The wireless device allows measurements even in closed systems.
27. Jul. 2009 INHECO Single TEC Control
INHECO introduced the STC – our Single TEC Control. The STC is a compact high precision controller for managing INHECO CPAC or shaker devices. The STC can be equipped optionally with a slot for a CPAC or a slot for a shaker. The slot can be exchanged easily.

The German industry magazine MM-MASCHINENMARKT published an article about INHECO’s state-of-the-art construction and screwing techniques for cycler blocks in PCR Thermo Cyclers.
22. Jul. 2009 INHECO completes ISO certification

In August 2009, INHECO successfully passed the certification audit for ISO 9001: 2008 without any deviations. As in previous years, the audit was performed by TÜV SÜD. Overall, the quality of the internal procedures was yet again increased, so that the requirements for ISO 9001 were easily met and in many areas over-fulfilled. INHECO plans to continue this process in order to guarantee product quality in an ever increasing technologically advanced environment. The new certificate can be downloaded from the download page.
15. Mar. 2008 INHECO Incubator
At LabAutomation 2008 in Palm Springs, Ca, INHECO launched its new IVD ready incubator product range. INHECOs Incubators are automated and compact single incubating positions for the use in fundamental research, drug discovery, clinical research and diagnostic applications. The incubators can be used as stand-alone devices or stacked to form a tower. The flexible design of the incubator family allows even stacking of different devices in one tower. The unique vibration reduced shaking principle offers free programmable shaking curves (orbital, linear, eight, elliptic, etc) and amplitudes. The precise automated drawer system guarantees a direct and easy access by robotic grippers and pipetting heads.
The Incubator family has a built-in precise temperature and shaker control, plate loading sensors, several test routines and an USB interface for controlling the devices, enabling the use of the Incubator products in FDA, IVD compliant environments and applications.
