HeatPAC on-deck heater

Compact on-deck device, heating any disposable up to 135 °C

When you need precise heating of samples, the HeatPAC is the ideal solution. This highly compact device provides precise and rapid heating of samples.

SMALL AND LOW
The HeatPAC takes up only one ANSI/SLAS plate position on your deck. With a profile of just 40 mm, it’s the right size to use with deep well plates or disposables with a higher profile when space is limited between the pipetting head and the deck.

PRECISE AND UNIFORM
The HeatPAC provides uniform, accurate heating up to 135 °C. Used together with the Inheco Heated LID, the HeatPAC can reduce the effects of condensation and further improve temperature uniformity.

PERFECT FIT ON-DECK
Works with your choice of disposables including all microplates, deep well plates, tubes and reservoirs. More than 200 adapters are available to guarantee a perfect fit, or we can tailor an adapter to fit your needs. Inheco HeatPAC and the Heated Lid can be used on robotic platforms to form temperature-controlled areas, with direct and easy access by robotic grippers and pipetting heads.

EASY TO INTEGRATE
Control your HeatPAC with the separate off-deck Inheco Single TEC Control unit (STC) which further minimizes deck space while reducing noise and temperature. Or choose the Inheco Multi TEC Control unit to control up to six devices in parallel when using several Inheco products on your deck. An API is available and HeatPAC models are integrated with all major deck manufacturers.

RELIABLE AND SUPPORTED
Every Inheco device is designed, engineered and made in Germany and undergoes rigorous quality control before delivery. It comes with a global two-year warranty and full customer service including remote support, diagnostic and servicing options that focusses on minimizing operational downtime.

Why use an on-deck heater?

For rapid and precise heating of your sample to the desired temperature. The HeatPAC is a highly cost-effective solution.

What to look for in an on-deck heater?
Heaters need to reach the required temperature and stay there, predictably. When space on deck is at a premium, a heater with a small footprint and low profile to give easy access to disposables makes life easier.
  • Temperature range – maximum temperature offered.
  • Temperature uniformity – delivering identical temperature across the entire block, with identical results for samples in the middle or on the edge of the block, and throughout the run.
  • Temperature accuracy – ensuring accurate and stable, reproduceable temperatures for the duration of the run, and for every sample in the block.
  • Uniform temperature change (ramp rates) – maintaining temperature uniformity across the entire block.
  • Small footprint – delivering the required performance while taking up as little space on deck as possible.
  • Low profile – to make pipetting and use of taller disposables easier.

Precise, uniform heating up to 135 °C

Heating
  • Temperature range: from ambient +5 K to +135 °C.
  • Accuracy at 37 °C target temperature ±0.5 K.
  • Uniformity at 37 °C target temperature ±0.5 K.
Optional Heated Lid
  • The Heated Lid can be used as an add-on heater on top of the HeatPAC, to increase the rate of heating, improve temperature uniformity (especially for deep well plates), and enable longer incubation.
  • The Heated Lid helps to avoid condensation at the top of the plate, and reduce losses due to evaporation, without needing the space of a dedicated incubator.
  • The flexible cable and low weight (420 g) mean it can be transported by most gripper systems, while being heavy enough to seal the plate, so allowing full automated processing.
Software
  • API available. The Inheco HeatPAC is quick to connect, and ready for future developments in your lab.
